Description
Artist notes:
I shot this piece in the fall from within a stream bed on a cool September morning. What appealed to me about this image was the way it looked like the waterfall was hidden behind a cloak of canyons, almost like protectors watching the sacred water falling from above. Being there made me realize how vital the water is to all the greenery around us. Every green piece of foliage on the mountain sides is dependent on that water for life. I decided to call the piece “Mother’s Milk” as it is like that essential life-sustaining ingredient necessary for the survival of every last plant in the forest.
This image won a bronze medal in the 2015 Epson Pano Awards!
