Artist notes:
This piece was one of several pieces that took home honors from the 2014 Monochrome Awards, and the first one I’m releasing. It is truly one of the most perfect waterfalls I’ve ever visited and I found myself shooting these falls several times. In fact, if you’ve seen my piece “Heaven’s Whisper,” this is that same waterfall.
The composition of this piece really works well. The flowing clouds above seem to funnel right into the iconic waterfall like an hourglass while the ice at the edge of the stream draws the viewer’s eyes right back to those majestic falls. The contrast of black and white adds to the overall otherworldly feel the image provides making this a stellar all around piece of artwork, and a gem of my collection.
