Artist notes:
This dynamic scene from the South side of Maui, was set off by the vibrant colors that illuminated the sky just after sunset. I saw it coming, everything was setting up nicely, crowds of people were watching the sun set. As soon as it dipped below the horizon everyone left for their cars and took off. I’m not sure why, because the sky erupted into a watercolor dance and it was just me on a long stretch of secluded Maui beach! A little advice: don’t leave before the curtain goes down…
