I remember standing up to my waist in the ocean with a good friend of mine shooting this sunset. We weren’t sure if the sun was going to get a chance to peak through the clouds or not before it fell down behind the darkening silhouette of Moloka‘i. Both of us watched and waited intensely until the very last moment when the great ball of fire appeared! It was only there for a second and then – gone! Thankfully, I was positioned to capture it with the ocean working its magic in the foreground. Another magical Maui sunset captured! Mahalo ke Akua!
